BB Naija Stars Bella and Sheggz celebrate first anniversary together.

Chidimma ‘Bella’ Okagbue, a Big Brother Naija contestant, and her boyfriend/housemate Segun ‘Sheggz’ Olusemo have been dating for a full year.

The couple celebrated their anniversary on their individual Twitter accounts. Sheggz’s message was more of a shot at their detractors than Bella’s, which was kind and loving.

One year down, the rest of our lives to go. It has been a tough year, but we made it through together. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. Our relationship isn’t perfect, but the love we have for each other makes up for all the little flaws. Happy Anniversary, baby. Bella wrote in her post.

Sheggz, on the other hand, acknowledged the cynics and doubting Thomases who did not think they would last this long and celebrated their one year of love in a “I told you so” fashion.

“AGAINST ALL ODDS! BIG SHEGGZ X BIG BELLA. I hate to say it but I told y’all… you just didn’t listen. 1 year down. Let’s go, baby.” was what he said.

The friendship between the Big Brother Naija Season 7 alums during their time in the house in 2022 was heavily criticized. While the show was airing, the Shella ship sparked intense debate among spectators.

Particularly as a result of how they handled their disagreements, the partnership was perceived as being rather aggressive and toxic. Bella admitted that she cared about the football player enough to forfeit the possibility to take home the season’s top prize while she was in the house.

Even against the better judgment of Bella’s parents, they persisted in their relationship after the competition was over. For her birthday in May 2023, the football player even planned a surprise trip for them to the Maldives.

Since then, the pair has kept their romance-obsessed admirers enthralled.
