According to Charly Boy, in 2004 he rescued singer Eedris Abdulkareem from what appeared to be a beating at the hands of bouncers for American rapper 50 Cent.
The captivating tale from the past was revealed by Charly Boy in a recent interview with The Honest Bunch Podcast.
Charly Boy was getting his hair done at the salon when the incident, according to him, happened at the airport. He recalled the incident and said that he took immediate action once Abdulkareem contacted.
“Back then, all the motorcycle riders would follow me if I waved my hand and I was walking past the motorcycle park,” said Charly Boy.
In addition the musician continued by recounting the incident at the airport involving Eedris Abdulkareem and 50 Cent’s security detail. “So, I stormed the airport with almost 3000 bikes.”
Eedris Abdulkareem was scheduled to perform with 50 Cent, and Charly Boy claims that they got into a fight because Eedris was sitting in the first-class section of the plane and the rapper’s bouncers confronted him.
Charly Boy narrated, “They beat him up and beat his bouncer who tried to save him from them.”
Charly Boy claimed that his decision to step in was motivated by a sense of fairness. “I asked where 50 Cent was after Eedris described his ordeal, and they pointed to an SUV.
Thus, I entered the SUV to address him,” Charly Boy disclosed. He spoke of the tense atmosphere at the airport, where there was an obvious disturbance caused by the motorbike riders.
Charly Boy claimed that during his altercation with 50 Cent, he spoke with the rapper face-to-face and told him how much he despised the supposed attack on Nigerian musicians.
“I said to 50 Cent, ‘You are the one beating my people in their own country? You came to Nigeria and you are beating my people,'” claimed Charly Boy.
