Comedian Buchi calls out ex-wife's parents for kee his children from him.
Comedian Buchi criticizes the parents of his ex-wife for withholding his children from him.
He alleges that despite taking $300,000 from him each month, they have refused to allow him to see them.
Nigerian comedian Buchi, also known as Onyebuchi Ojieh, has taken aim at the parents of his ex-wife, claiming that they have forbidden him from seeing his kids.
On November 18, 2023, the comedian expressed his frustration on his Instagram page that he hasn’t been able to speak to his children who are under their custody.
Drawing attention to their status as pastors in the United States, where they currently reside, he denounced their behavior and asked to be allowed entry.
“MR n MRS SALAMI… you people have MY kids. Your plan worked. I am not fighting you. You are leaders at The Redeemed Christian Church there, I know for sure that RCCG Nigeria will not allow such. YOU NEED TO TELL ME WHY I CAN’T SPEAK TO MY KIDS. Please, if you are in the US, help me call the church. The pastor knows the matter! Leaders should lead by example,” he yelled.
Buchi disclosed in a subsequent post that he was required to pay child support, and he claimed that despite the payment, he was still denied access to his children.
His caption emphasized that he was barred after every call and listed some of the purported terms under which he was permitted to talk to his kids.
The comedian once more criticized them, stating, “Mr. n Mrs. SALAMI… wake UP!! You people asked me to pay to have access, but it’s ‘child welfare’… that anything I have, I should pay first. I paid the money… you say it’s not enough, more access is more money, right? Twice communication a week is now 1 video call, then voice note, right? You can only call with your phone… you block me after every call until I beg, right? Okay, if it’s hard for you, return my kids, PLEASE!! Gather your evidence, I have mine, please.”
Buchi is not the only father battling with estranged family members over child custody. Dotun, a well-known radio personality, has also promised to win back his daughters from his ex-wife.
After he called her out on Instagram, claiming that she had broken their custody agreement and kept him away from their children, he and his ex-wife had a heated discussion. In response, she emphasized that he can access them as previously discussed. Dotun has now expressed support for Buchi in his war.
