Mom is the official new role that Uzo Aduba has assumed.

In a touching social media post, the “Orange is the New Black” actress said that she and her husband Robert Sweeting had welcomed their newborn girl, Adaiba Lee Nonyem.

With two pictures of her infant, Aduba posted on Instagram on November 30. “I’ve never been in love so quickly, so deeply in my entire life,” she wrote. “Dudes, I’m at a loss for words.

My heart is overflowing. God, I am grateful. I’m ecstatic as a fountain.”

“We love you so much,” the Emmy winner continued, “Daughter of the people, treasurer of the mother’s names who came before you.” She also shared a touching note with her child.

As she begins her new chapter, the 42-year-old couldn’t help but marvel. “I’m a Mommy you guys,” she continued. “I’ve joined the club.” I’ve heard that although the dues are expensive, membership is well worth it.”

Danielle Brooks gushed, “My God,” as Aduba’s “Orange Is the New Black” family was quick to spread the love in the comments. Congratulations on the growth of your lovely family, Uzo. This is very lovely.”

“Congratulations darling!! What a blessing!” added Laverne Cox to the conversation.

The “Lightyear” actress originally revealed her pregnancy in June, when she made her red carpet debut at the Tony Awards, along with Sweeting’s first child. On the same day, she thought back on the adventure she was about to take with the director, with whom she had been married in 2021.

She captioned a June Instagram photo of herself wearing a onesie, saying, “What a blessing.” “My husband Robert and I are so happy to enter this next chapter together as parents. I am beyond excited.”

The “In Treatment” actress has found motivation in the couple’s latest chapter, in addition to feeling excited about it.
