Iyabo Ojo's Daughter Priscilla slams Naira Marley over libel accusations.
Marley was urged to concentrate on his continuing cases that are now pending by the younger Ojo via Instagram Stories.
She brought up the recent controversy over Marley’s alleged bullying of the late musician Mohbad, about which the police have reported that they have evidence.
She said, “The audacity!! You want to sue? Sue who. Lmaooooo..clowns. The cases you have in court for the boys’ catalogue and unpaid royalties, have you finished that one? You want to sue who? When there are legit videos and evidence of your gang steadily bullying that young man before he died. Dey play!”
Following her mother’s death on September 12, 2023, Ojo criticized Nigerians for dragging her mother into social media, reminding them of Iyabo Ojo’s active involvement in pursuing justice for the late singer.
“Nigerians, y’all amaze me, sha, but I’ll say no celebrity should have their safety, career, kids in the line to fight for justice. That woman y’all are dragging now didn’t only come online to fight; she was legit at the police station back to back. Now she was fighting for the young man that was vividly bullied with evidence from his record label before he died,” she wrote in part.
However the letters Naira Marley’s attorneys sent to her mother, accusing her of libel and requesting ₦500 million in damages, are the source of Priscilla’s extensive article. The singer’s attorneys brought attention to some remarks made by Iyabo Ojo in September that they believed would be detrimental to Marley’s career in the document. Within seven days of receiving the document, the singer threatened legal action unless there was a public apology and a withdrawal of the statements.
