J Cole, Seyi Vibez, Dave Feature on Burna Boy's Upcoming Album.
Burna Boy has been on a fast track with his music since becoming an international sensation in 2018 with “YE,” positioning him at the forefront of the Afrobeats to the World movement.
Burna Boy published the tracklist for his new album, titled “I Told Them,” on August 21, 2023. The album is scheduled to be released on August 25.
The 17-track album contains 15 songs as well as two music videos for his singles “Big 7” and “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” which both feature 21 Savage.
The album features a star-studded guest list, including American rapper J Cole and Nigerian street-hop prodigy Seyi Vibez, who both perform on the song “Thanks” and the track “Giza.” The much anticipated collaboration between British-Nigerian rapper Dave, who also appears on the album, will also be available for listeners to enjoy.
Burna Boy and Dave previously teamed up on Dave’s top-charting track “Location,” and “Cheat On Me” marks their second collaboration.
The selection of rappers on the album and the previously released singles imply that “I Told Them” may have a Hip Hop influence as Burna Boy seeks to further solidify his position as a global superstar.

The musician expressed some of his opinions regarding the lack of substance in Afrobeats during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. Burna Boy asserts that many of the performers are “almost completely devoid of real-life experiences,” and that the genre has essentially become about “nothing.”
