Jimmy Odukoya " Actor "Woman King" takes over his late dad position "Taiwo Odukoya of Fountain of Life Church as the " New Ordained Pastor".
The Fountain of Life Church’s senior pastor has been announced as Jimmy Odukoya, son of Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya.
The statement was made on Sunday during worship.
Pastor Rotimi Okpaise said in his address to the congregation that the late Taiwo Odukoya had discussed the succession plan with the members of the board of trustees (BoT) before he passed away.
Okpaise said that Jimmy was unanimously chosen by the BoT to serve as both the senior pastor and board chair.
Jimmy will be installed on Saturday, September 30, 2023, according to the board, he stated.
The church’s founder, Odukoya, passed away in the United States of America on August 7 at the age of 67.
Odukoya passed away on November 9, 2021, little than two years after losing his South African-born wife Nomthi, following a two-year struggle with cancer.
Odukoya and Nomthi were married for 11 years and had two boys.
The artist was married to Bimbo for 21 years prior to Nomthi.
In the 2005 Sosoliso plane tragedy in Port Harcourt, the capital of the Rivers, Bimbo perished.
Jimmy is an artist and performer from Nigeria. He portrayed the main character Oba Ade in the Netflix film “Woman King.”
In addition, he has appeared in a number of films, including “Lifting the Veil,” “I am Nazzy,” and “Oga Pastor.”
