Gospel performer Mercy Chinwo and her spouse have their first child.

It appears that the April 2023 pregnancy rumors were accurate, and we’re happy about it.

The first child of Mercy Chinwo, an award-winning gospel singer, and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, has been revealed.

On Friday, October 27, 2023, in the morning, the singer made the joyful announcement via the video however that was uploaded to her official Instagram page. She showed off her round baby bump while people around her sang and danced to the song’s excerpt from the music video. The song is called You Do This One.

However in her post, Mercy conveyed her sincere thanks to God for their child’s blessing.

She also announced to her admirers that a new album with her song would be released.

The caption said, “Lord, we are grateful; we approach Your throne with heartfelt songs of praise and thanksgiving. You’ve filled our hearts with joy, our lips with testimonies, and our home with celebration. Indeed ‘YOU DO THIS ONE’.”

However with great anticipation, celebrities, admirers, and well-wishers flocked to Mercy’s comment area, wishing her well and sending prayers and congrats. The April rumors and conjectures about the pregnancy have now been verified.

After the singer shared a teaser video for her new song on April 11 that appeared to show a baby bump, there was speculation that the artist was expecting. But as soon as there was no official confirmation, the rumors quickly subsided.

The singer is wed to Uzochikwa, a pastor at the Upper Room and WaterBrook Church. After becoming engaged in June 2022, they married in August 2022 in Rivers State.
