Mohbad’s Father breaks silence after his son’s untimely death.

Joseph Ayoba, Mohbad’s father, has spoken movingly about the singer’s untimely passing.

During the late singer’s funeral, the distraught father was questioned. There, he revealed that his relationship with his son went beyond that of father and son. He emphasized how close of friends he and his son were before his death and how he viewed him as his second half, therefore the moniker Oladimedji.

Additionally, he added that two days prior to Mohbad’s passing, he dreamed of him being shot. He continued by saying that he could not see the shooter’s face, only that he was carrying a gun.

Two days prior to the incident, Ayoba claimed, “I had a dream about him in which I saw someone holding a gun to kill me. I felt I evaded the bullet unaware that something similar would happen to me. I don’t suspect anyone at all.

Ayoba also mentioned that he had heard the reports but did not believe most of them, he then stressed that. There was a possibility that his son was visited by an auxillary nurse who gave him an injection. The two also met on Saturday, and nothing was noticeably wrong with him when he saw him that day.

“According to what I heard from people, I don’t believe those,” he said, “but the only thing I can think of is the auxiliary nurse that treats people, which is very bad. I don’t know what kind of nurse they invited him to give him an injection, and that injection can result to anything. Maybe he had a wound, I don’t know what kind of wound.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mohbad, the street pop performer, tragically passed suddenly. This came as a rude shock to Nigerians. Since then, his supporters, family, and other celebrities have been plunged into a state of sadness, and tributes have been pouring in.
