Nollywood Actress, Ruth Kadiri sends strong warnings to Ghana Tv Stations that have been broadcasting her content without proper Authorization.

Ruth Kadiri, a well-known Nollywood actress and director, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaian television stations that have been airing her programming without the required permission.

She has also stated that she intends to sue anyone who broadcasts such content without permission.

The actress expressed her annoyance and emphasized the value of upholding intellectual property rights.

She emphasized that the unlawful screening of her films violated her rights and had a severe effect on the livelihoods of the numerous people who worked on the production.

Ruth Kadiri vented her anger in an internet video about how regional radio outlets were using her footage without her consent.

She stated that she would not be hesitant to consult with her attorneys in order to resolve this matter:

I love Ghana as a whole, but I’m deeply disappointed that a major TV station there would take my content, edit it, and broadcast it as if they have the right to do so. And it’s not just one station, it’s multiple. I’ve hesitated to watermark my content because I think it would diminish its quality.

This is my first warning, and it will be my last since my legal team will contact you if it happens again.

She also underlined the value of respecting content creators’ work and acquiring the required permissions as opposed to using unlawful broadcasting as a means of doing so.
