On Tuesday, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, a well-known Nollywood actor, turned 60, and his fans, friends, and coworkers celebrated by posting birthday wishes on social media.

In his letter to the actor-turned-politician, President Muhammadu Buhari lauded the actor’s fortitude in entering politics and holding public service.

In addition to serving as a Senior Special Assistant, New Media, and Special Adviser on Entertainment, Leisure, and Tourism for three governments, Udokwu ran for office in Anambra.

“The President applauds the actor’s bravery for entering politics and public service, however running for office in his native state of Anambra, and serving as a senior special assistant for new media and a special adviser on entertainment, leisure, and tourism for three different governments.

“Even though Bob-Manuel is 60 years old, President Buhari thinks his knowledge of the entertainment and creative industries will always be useful, particularly when advising younger people on their career choices. The President offers prayers for the actor who has won numerous awards and his family.
