The Osigwes are currently in mourning as they announce the passing of their matriarch, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe after she spent days coma.
Peace is the founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and the Africa Film Academy also.
The AMAA founder died at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos after being in coma since Saturday, January 7, 2023.
The family of famous Nigerian movie award organizer, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), has announced her passing.
According to reports shared with the public by the family, Anyiam-Osigwe. Who was awarded the Nigerian national honours of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR). Passed on in the early hours of Tuesday, January 10, 2023, after being in a coma for days.
While the AMAA founder was admitted at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, on Saturday, January 7 before giving up the ghost 3 days later.
According to reports, the family will announce the details of Peace’s rite of passage in due course, as they respectfully urge the public to respect their privacy at this time.

“Our President, Peace, has passed. As at Saturday, she was reported to be in coma at Saint Nicholas. But now her family has confirmed her transition. May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace,” he writes on a Nollywood platform, according to Vanguard.
Award-winning producer, Obi Emelonye also confirmed her passing-on on his social media handles even though the family was trying to be courteous with releasing the information for this reason.
