Police Arrests Sam Larry in Lagos.

The controversial socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, was detained by the Lagos State Police Command as part. Of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

According to The PUNCH, the police had already asked Sam Larry and singer Azeez Fashola, nicknamed Naira Marley, however to testify on Mohbad’s passing.

While they wait for the results, the police last week also revealed that pathologists had completed the autopsy of Mohbad.

“Autopsy has been completed,” he declared. This development came after the exhumation of Mohbad by a team made up of members of the Nigeria Police Force and the health department.

The nurse who allegedly gave the deceased musician an injection just before he passed away on Tuesday, September 12, had also been detained by police.

Music promoter Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, is currently being held by authorities. On September 28, 2023, he was taken into custody in relation to the passing of Nigerian artist Mohbad.

On his X (Twitter) profile, Benjamin Hundeyin, the police public relations officer for the Lagos State Command, acknowledged this.

Upon his return to Nigeria from the United Arab Emirates, Larry was detained at the Lagos airport. He’s being held at the Ikeja headquarters of the Lagos State Police Command right now.

The circumstances of Mohbad’s death are being looked into by the police. It is unknown if Larry has been put on trial for any offences.
