As Nollywood actor Zack Orji reportedly slumps and is taken to the hospital, coworkers ask for prayers.
Zack Orji, a veteran Nollywood actor, is allegedly fighting for his life at an Abuja hospital.
The actor reportedly slumped in the bathroom and is now unable to walk or speak.
Orji is receiving care at the National Hospital in Abuja’s Intensive Care Unit, or ICU.
The actor’s close source confirmed the event to DAILY POST on Sunday afternoon. The actor is unwell.
He added that a statement regarding the incident would be released shortly by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, or AGN.
Some of his coworkers have been praying for him on social media in the interim.
Joyce Kalu, a seasoned actress, wrote, “I cover him with the blood of Jesus.”

A video of legendary Nollywood actor Zack Orji in critical condition in the hospital went viral on Sunday, December 31.
However the renowned actor reportedly slumped in the bathroom two days before December 31 after becoming fairly weak for a few weeks, prompting an emergency trip to the hospital.
According to a later update, he was taken by ambulance to the National Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in Abuja, where doctors stabilized his condition in anticipation of a brain surgery on New Year’s Day.
He was treated in a private hospital after his family, defying medical advice, transferred him from National Hospital in Abuja.
Later on, this was verified by Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, who urged people to support Zack Orji, the ill Nollywood actor, stating that he underwent brain surgery on January 1, 2024.
During her visit to the actor at the Wuse, Abuja, private hospital where he underwent surgery, Musawa made an appeal.
