
Ruth Carter Becomes First Black Woman to Win Two Oscars
Ruth Carter has made history by becoming the first Black woman to win two Academy Awards. She previously won the Oscar for costume design in 2019 for her outstanding work on Marvel’s “Black Panther.” Making her the first Black person to receive the award. This time, she was honored for her contribution to the upcoming movie. “Wakanda Forever” which is the sequel to “Black Panther.” During her acceptance speech, Carter expressed her gratitude to the film’s director Ryan Coogler and also paid tribute. To the late Chadwick Boseman, who starred in “Black Panther.” She requested Boseman to look after her mother, who recently passed away at the age of 101.
