Simi recounts how her pregnancy negatively affected her eyesight.

Simi, a singer and songwriter from Nigeria, explained how three years after having her daughter Adejare, she started having visual problems.
She told her followers a “sob story” in the video she posted to her Tiktok account, stating that she now needs to wear spectacles.
She explained how, following the birth of her daughter, who is now three years old, she began to notice that. Her vision was declining. And to make matters worse, it got worse before she finally chose to visit an optometrist barely three months ago.
“I feel like I had 20/20 vision, but not anymore,” the woman said, referring to the fact that since giving birth to her 3-year-old daughter, her eyes haven’t been the same.
Simi continued by stating that she was advised to acquire glasses after visiting the doctor and having standard eye exams.
She was still performing as Alicia Keys’ special guest on the Keys to the City tour in the US when. She began filming the music video. Soon after, she was able to take up the glasses, but she wasn’t too pleased to have to wear them.
According to her, “I went for an eye scan and the Doctor said that I need glasses, and I got. A message a few days ago that my glasses are ready. Three months ago, I was like something is not tallying here, it’s like I’m seeing double.”
Simi noted that it has taken her three years to find the right balance between her career and motherhood, noting that it took her two years to do so after having her bundle of joy. This is not the first time the singer has been open about her postpartum struggles. In a June 2023 interview with Cool FM, Simi discussed her journey and admitted that it had taken her two years to find herself again.
