Tacha Slams Protesters for hijacking Mohbad's Candle Light Service.

The protesters who remained after the Mohbad candlelight ceremony and blocked the Lekki tollgate have been called out by Big Brother Naija alumna Natacha Akide, also known as Tacha.
The media celebrity criticized the hijackers on Instagram for allegedly changing the story of how the police dispersed them that night of Thursday, September 21, 2023, using tear gas.
We can all agree that every nation has problems, and every police force has problems, and Nigeria is no exception. However, she said, “I will not agree with you people if you try to gaslight me and every other person on what happened last night, trying to change the narrative.”
As they flocked to the Lekki tollgate following the candlelight service, which did not take place at the tollgate, the reality star chastised them for deviating from the purpose of the gathering. When the event was over, Tacha chastised those in charge for not immediately leaving for their homes and said she would not accept their version of events.
“Let me ask y’all this,” she said, “what was the reason everyone left their homes yesterday? For Mohbad’s candlelight procession, right? And where did it happen? At the park in VI. Now tell me how did people leave the park for Lekki tollgate?
We can all agree that the event organizers told everyone to leave after the event concluded at 8 p.m. Everyone left, including the celebrities, however some people chose to head to the Lekki tollgate.
Tacha continued to chastise the defaulters for their behavior after commending the Nigerian police for their quick action and pointing. Out that they had genuinely begged the demonstrators to vacate the tollgate numerous times, to no effect.
“If you want to come out and protest, no problem, but we didn’t come out to protest yesterday,” she said. If you want to protest, choose a date, get it sanctioned by the authorities, and then go demonstrate.
Choose a date, have that date approved by the government, and then protest on that date. Put an end to changing the story. You folks only want to raise concerns when none exist. I’ve seen recordings of the Nigerian police pleading with you all to go home, but you people refused. Kudos to the Nigerian police for their persistence.
Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad, who tragically went away at age 27 on September 12, 2023, and whose death is currently being investigated by the police, was remembered by mourners on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island Lagos.
