Fadeyi Oloro Veteran Yoruba actor, Ojo Arowosafe, has passed away.
According to reports, the actor died on Tuesday evening after losing a battle with a protracted illness. He was reported to have struggled with the illness for a long period of time.
Fadeyi was one of the best on-screen villains in the Yoruba movie industry, known for his darkened face and use of guns to settle disputes.
His death is definitely a huge blow to the industry. May his soul rest in peace.
Announcing the sad incident, Popular Comedian and actor, Bayegun Oluwatoyin, better called Woli Arole. Via his Instagram post, wrote, “So happy I reached out to you sir, so happy we played our part. We laughed together, and we were able to show our support. Rest in Peace, the Legend Fadeyi Oloro.
“Let’s check up on people when they are still alive. Let’s show love when people can feel and let’s help when it can be seen.”
Also, confirming the incident, the deceased’s daughter, Fasunwon Bidemi Oluwafunke revealed that the actor passed on at the University College Hospital, UCH.
Recall that Fasunwon, had recently, during an Instagram live session with popular On-Air Personality OAP, Daddy Freeze, shared details of her father’s predicament, noting that her father’s landlord served them an eviction notice for not being able to pay rent.
The Ekiti-born actor rose to prominence during the 80s and late 90s for his trademarked herbalist character.
The PUNCH reported last year that the late actor once called on Nigerians to help him financially in order to take care of his health.
The ailing actor once told Sunday Scoop, “Nigerians should help me. Everything needed for me to be in a healthy state requires money.
